The Skunklight Skylight is a solar powered LED that weighs in at a mere 0.6 oz. It puts out 30 candles of light and will shine up to 3 hours on a single charge. This little light is waterproof down to one meter and has a built-in lithium ion battery capable of 10,000 charges/discharges. The LED light that rated to last more than 100,000 hours and comes with an automatic shutoff mechanism that will turn the light off after 10 minutes.

I normally carry two LED lights when I hike and I like to hang the Skylight off the webbing on the back of my pack so that it can recharge throughout the day. I hate being dependent on batteries and the waste they create.

Exped used to distribute this swiss-made light in the US, but it is now only available from Skunklights, over the web. Cost is $27.95.
