New Ultralight Tent from Gossamer Gear

Gossamer Gear is a one of the leading boutique manufacturers in the ultralight backing scene. I'm a regular customer and I have bought a lot of gear from them over the past couple of years, including their NightLight sleeping pad, polycro ground sheets and pack liners.

I got an email this morning from Grant Sible, the president of Gossamer Gear, announcing a new single-walled tent called "The One" made from spinnaker cloth that they've just brought to market. It weighs just 19 oz., before seam sealing, and includes a stuff sack and a 1.5 oz polycro ground sheet. It's very cleverly designed and has the usual set of features offered with single walled tents including mesh between the tent walls and floor and a elevated vestibule for better ventilation. Spinnaker cloth is a ultralight silicone coated polyester fabric used to make sailboat spinnakers and sails.

Here's a short video provided by Gossamer Gear that shows how to set up The One and its many features.

Pack size is important to me.

None of your gear on Gossamer Gear in "specifications" gives the stuff size.

Fair comment. GG has upgraded their packs and shelters in the past year. For the latest specs visit GossamerGear.com
