Hiking in the White Mountain National Forest

Where does my fascination with hiking and backpacking in the White Mountain National Forest come from? I fell in love with the trail system when I started hiking the New Hampshire Appalachian Trail in 2007 because the mountains and scenery are so wonderful. I still section hike the AT a few weeks each spring, but I spend most weekends hiking, skiing, and fishing in the Whites since they’re a stone’s throw from my home. To date, I’ve hiked over 900 miles of trails in the White Mountain National Forest and climbed most of its mountains.
