best pants ever
After wearing nylon cargo pants for the last 20 years, I have switched to these. They are very comfortable and the fabric is great. I did have to have a tailor shorten them in length. I also had the zippered pockets reduced in depth to eliminate heavy stuff like a cell phone banging on my knee. I wish they came in khaki!! Note that they run very large. I normally take a 39" waist but had to order a 37" waist and it is loose. I bought them for travel but now they are my everyday pants.

review of high coast trouser
this trouser is comfortable and fits well. The reason for the one star is the fact the material "picks" easily. Hiking the southern Appalachians I encounter quite a few briars(black berry etc) during late summer and after my hike today the trousers had numerous "picks". I would not purchase again based on the environment I hike in.

These are without question the most comfortable hiking, kayak fishing, general-use pants I've ever owned. The amount of stretch in the fabric allows for a range of motion that goes beyond what I'm even capable of. They dry very quickly once they've gotten wet, and breath incredibly well on hot summer days. They're now my go-to kayak fishing pants in all but the coldest conditions. I have noticed a slight amount of pilling on the front of my thighs after probably 50 days of use over the last year, but it is very minimal. Especially considering I've done some hiking through dense wooded areas in them. These pants shouldn't be expected to hold up to that level of abuse like a pair of Vidda Pros would, but they've been solid. I've only got the 1 pair for now, but I'm sure I'll end up with at least one more in a different color.
