Excellent pack
The exterior avy gear and tools pocket is essential. The expandability and flexibility of the pack are top notch.
Love this thing.
I just used this for the first time this past weekend. We were doing a hut trip in the Duffey Lake area of BC coast mountain range. We were not guaranteed a spot in the hut so I loaded this thing up with everything needed for 3 days - Food, tent, stove, extra clothes, sleep system, med kit, repair kit, avy gear. All fit with a little room to spare. The absolute best thing though - once all set up the design of the pack allowed me to load it up with just food, avy hear and an extra layer when touring during the day without feeling like the pack was too big and floppy.
Now to get some organizing PODS and the Ultamid4 with insert.

Love this pack. Wish there was another outside accessible pack but understand that would be complicated with the design.

Fantastic backpack. Absolutely love it.
Heavy duty and comfortable, not too heavy. I use struggle to fill a 40L pack during the summer but this is a little tight for multi-day winter backpacking. Doable but needs a minimalist gear list to minimize volume. Potentially needs some outside carry for bulky items.
