The 2Lite is our lightest pole-supported tent. Its stable, non-freestanding design means the weight stays low while remaining shockingly livable, with two doors, two generous vestibules, and plenty of room for two people to sit up.

The 2Lite is built to hold up against harsh backpacking conditions without sacrificing the weight and comfort of a standard backpacking tent. The ergonomic footprint shape increases space at the torso and elbows, making the tent feel much roomier than its 28 square feet.

Short 12" pole segments come standard and allow the 2Lite to fit almost anywhere, making it ideal for bikepacking or any discipline in which packed size is an important consideration.

The optional 2Lite -> 2Lite Trek conversion kit lets you pitch the 2Lite using your trekking poles instead of the head pole for a 4oz weight savings. Pick up a footprint to prolong the lifespan of your tent's floor.

Seam Sealing Note: The seams on your 2Lite's flysheet are highly water-resistant and will handle light rain just fine without being seam sealed. However, the two seams directly beneath the tent poles and the long seam down the center of the flysheet should be seam sealed for maximum waterproofness in extended, heavy rains.

Sewn in Vietnam.

UL workhorse of a tent

First trip we took this tent on was a 7 day trekking trip up Olympic National Park going through Enchanted Forest and upper alpine region. I must say this tent was absolutely wonderful. Easy to set up, stood up to incessant rain with no leaks and some 30 mph wind with ample room for 2 guys. The vestibules were generous enough for all the backpacks etc. We liked it so much that we took it on another 7 day hiking trip into Bryce Canyon and the Zion Wilderness. Absolutely light, practical and dependable. I am a believer.

WHAT A GREAT LIGHTWEIGHT TENT

JUST GOT BACK FROM AN. 11 DAY BACKPACKING TRIP OUTSIDE OF DURANGO AND I MUST SAY THIS TENT WAS GREAT! I WATCHED THE SET UP VIDEO A FEW TIMES AND SET IT UP ONCE AT HOME BEFORE THE TRIP. SET UP ON THE TRIP WAS SMOOTH AND EFORT LESS IN ALL KINDS OF WEATHER. AVERAGE SET UP TIME WAS 3-5 MINUTES. I DID NOTICE THE FLY SAG BUT FOUND HIKING POLES EXTENDED IT OUT FROM THE BODY JUST FINE. I ALSO EXTENDED THE LOOPS AND FASTENED THEM TO ROCKS WHEN NEEDED.
A LOT OF THOUGHT AND ENGINEERING WENT INTO THIS FINE PRODUCT.

Fantastic lightweight hiking tent

I've had this tent for almost four years, and I love it. I've mostly used it for solo hiking and for this application it feels palatial for its weight. It's well constructed and strong with well thought out details. It's ridiculously small and light for a comfortably sized tent with two full sized vestibules. It's so packable that I can multi-day hike using a day pack comfortably, and teamed with an ultralight stove, mat and bag I can reasonably even take it on a trip away when I'm not sure I'll get time to hike overnight.

I've used it on all sorts of terrain and in good and bad weather, and have found it enduringly comfortable. I do though recommend getting more of the very nice reflective cleated guy lines from Slingfin, as extras are needed to keep the fly taught in heavy or prolonged rain, and to pitch well when the ground is too hard to use stakes. You can use the overhead guy line to dry damp clothing by day and hang a string of LED lights by night. I cut a tyvek groundsheet for mine, but I only take it if I'm expecting troublesome/abrasive surfaces and the tent bottom has otherwise worn very well. I've also found Slingfin's customer service to be excellent.

My Favorite 2p Tent Yet

I've used it 100+ nights. Best do it all tent I've ever owned.

Incredibly light & spacious. I'm 5'10 and don't touch the walls with space for my pack inside. Very comfortable to share with my 5'1 wife & just big enough for my 6'1 bro & I. Peak is high enough for sitting upright. Tapered feet/wide head is efficient use of space. Vestibules are huge & can store 2 people's gear without blocking the doors. The full mesh body is great for stargazing & ventilation. The bathtub floor & low fly stops splash in heavy rain. The 2 doors are a luxury for the weight. The internal guyline is a convenient headlamp/hat hanger. Set up takes practice, but becomes easier. My main complaint is the fly sags just above the pole at the foot end after hours of rain. I have had to reinforce it with my trekking poles on either side to provide lift. Happy to say SlingFin retrofitted my fly with an extra tie down at the foot wall like at the head! Pitching non-freestanding tents on hard surfaces is difficult. If stakes won't sink, large rocks or guylines extended to softer soil or trees are needed to anchor it. Extra guylines are essential. Aerodynamic positioning is crucial in high winds. The stakes provided work in soil, but you'll need longer/wider stakes for sand/snow. The ground fly has helped increase the lifespan of the UL fabric. One pole cracked at the edge of one section & needed to be taped, and both shock cords lost elasticity over time. No big deal though because SlingFin repaired both of my poles to good as new!

5 Stars for holding up to my rough use and for SlingFin's awesome customer service!

Hi Lucas! Stoked that you've been enjoying your 2Lite! If you send us your fly, I'd be happy to sew a tie down on the foot wall for you. Send me an email at tim@slingfin.com and we can figure out logistics. We'd also be happy to replace your shock cord if you send us your poles as well.

Cheers,
Tim+The SlingFin Crew
