Amazing jacket. Bought one for my daughter.

This jacket is amazing. It is really warm for how lightweight it is. Super versatile and able to be used in a number of different settings. Packs down small for when I am traveling.

Microtrash nightmare

I noticed some pilling and tried to remove it. When I did, I noticed these thin strands, almost like spiderwebs (the namesake superstrand?) Attached to the pilling. On closer inspection I found these strands leaking out of multiple seams, not just pilled areas. Crazy to think I've probably been leaving a trail of small plastic trash all over my trails for the last 2-3 months. Can't believe this got through quality testing from an apparently eco-conscious company.

Yes

This is light weight and great as a stand alone or under a parka when we get in the minus territory.

Amazing puffy

Both my husband and I own 2 each of these great jackets. They've replaced our nanopuffs for hiking, backpacking, and all-around wear. They have great loft and warmth for being ultralight without a lot of bulk. This is the perfect jacket to wear while being active because you won't overheat. Fits great under a backpack too.

Solid lightweight piece

For what it is: a lightweight synthetic, it's great. -Light, compressible, easy to mash into the corner of a pack -Fits good on me. 5'10, 165#, +2 ape, cyclist/climber/skier build. Room for a fleece under, moves pretty well. Arms could use some more articulation; hem rides up wit overhead reaching -Decent wind protection. BUT, it's a lightweight. If you're expecting heavyweight warmth or durability you'll be disappointed. I snagged on a branch and I tore through the fabric. It's comfortable while stationary to ~50F in the shade with a tshirt under.

Warm and quite wind resistant.

I've worn it down to five degrees Fahrenheit with only a light base layer. It kept me surprisingly warm as long as I was moving with moderate exercise. The quality seems good. A medium is a trim fit. I'm 6'1" and 165 lbs. Looking forward to more outdoor activities in cold weather.

Best piece of gear I've had in a long time!

Bought this jacket for backpacking and it's fantastic. It's light but incredibly warm for its weight. Good materials, great insulating properties, and packs down small, comparable to down. This is one of the best products I've purchased from OR, and I look forward to using it for years to come.

Would definitely buy again! This is my third one!

When I realized I can wear a men's small, I was very excited for the color options! This SuperStrand LT hoodie is so warm yet lightweight! The men's fits longer in length and more narrow so I love the fit. I'm bigger on top, smaller on the bottom (no hips or butt) so men's styles often work good for me.

Nice Jacket, a little snug

This jacket has met my expectations for warmth, and is very lightweight. I'm 6'0" and 180 lbs, and the Large fits well, but I would describe it as a snug "athletic" fit. If you are looking to layer anything more than a base layer underneath, you may want to size up. I've only had it for a few weeks, so I can't speak for the durability yet.
