    • Wow! very honorable, I have just gotten my wife interested in backpacking. This pack would be a blessing to receive. I have my sn a good adolescent pack two daughters descent packs that were found used. I am having a very hard time finding a women’s pack for my wife since the budget is tight. Thanks for giving back and the opportunity to win.

    • If you select me, you’ll have to wait until April 29th to get the cash for UPS. I’m visiting friends in Eswatini until then.
If your Wife wants it out of the house sooner than that let it go to another.

  2. Hi Phillip, if you could add me to your list for the MSR Advance Pro tent, I would be deeply appreciative!

  8. As a scout leader, I’m impressed with the quality of the supplies listed here.

    • I take pretty good care of the gear I review, so I can pass it along to readers. Although I am terrible about keeping track of tent stakes.

      • Last fall, I section hiked a portion of the AT with a friend. He keeps track of his tent stakes by leaving them attached to all the guy out points and lines on his tent. Of course, it becomes necessary to use a stake that has a hole in it, obviating the use of MSR needle stakes (which I dearly love).

  9. Thank you so much for doing this. I lost my job so i’m about to hop on the A.T. This kind of help isn’t seen too often and we appreciate it.

  10. Thanks for all the work you do

  11. This is AWESOME for someone like me starting out and trying to buy gear. I love #7.

  14. Hello Phillip. I’ve been eyeing the new Silverback pack since it came out. I use the Gorilla for most of my 3 season trips but would love the larger capacity of the Silverback as I push my comfort zone into colder weather. Thank you for sharing this gear with your readers!

  15. My Trail Company UL 50 Backpack

  16. Best trail magic ever. Thanks .

  17. I have been looking for and researching new packs for a while now. The ones that interest me are out of my budget. The one I have now is just too heavy anymore, as I am trying to get lighter gear.

  18. Thanks for giving back!

  19. What you are doing is beyond awesome. Hiking has helped me overcome so much in my fight with mental illness. It has helped me more than any drug I’ve ever been put on.
Getting the gear needed to be safe and comfortable while hiking can be a challenge at times. I think what you’re doing is has the potential to change so many lives by providing the opportunity for people desperately searching for something that helps but unable to afford the proper gear. Thank you for that!!

  26. Really enjoy the news letter

  27. It is great that you take the opportunity to bless others with some seriously nice equipment.

Fortunately, God has blessed me with enough gear to tackle outdoor sojourns I foresee coming. Consequently, I would be greedy if I tossed my name in the hat and not be content with the abundance shown me ;-). A number of lucky folks are going to have a very nice blessing coming their way!

PS: NO, I didn’t just say that to dissuade others, and thus increase my chances 8-0.

    • I’m with Rob. I appreciate all you do. I’m a tree dweller so I’ll let the ground dwellers bid for the tents and I’m covered in the pack dept.
      thank you!
      Mike
